Thank you to everyone who came to the Ed at Indiana call-out meeting last week! We loved seeing so many future magazine editors! If you went to the meeting and forgot what we talked about, or if you weren’t able to make it to the meeting at all, here is a recap of what we went over:
1. Events- We will have several exciting events this semester! Many of them are still in the planning stages, but some of the things you can look forward to are Skypes with magazine editors, a portfolio workshop, and an internship panel. As soon as we finalize the details of an event, all of the information will be posted under the “Events” tab of this website, so be sure to check back often. If you have an idea for an event, please contact Michela Tindera at email@example.com.
2. The website- If you’re reading this, you already found our website, so good job! We will be posting new content every Tuesday and Thursday that will include everything from editor Q+As to resume advice to internship tips and much more. We will also be posting recaps of all of our events, so if you’re are unable to attend an event you can still see what took place. We want this website to be a resource for you, so if you ever have a story idea or a topic you would like us to write about, please email our web editor, Rachel Osman, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
3. Social media- Be sure to follow us on Twitter and like our Facebook page. Our social media maven, Carmen Huff, will let you know about all of our exciting events on our social media channels, so don’t miss out!
